CINEMATOGRAPHER FOR THE DIRECTOR OF “HOOP DREAMS”

WRITER/PRODUCER/DIRECTOR - “SOUNDTRACKER”

Feature length documentary about Gordon Hempton, aka the Soundtracker.  Film chronicles the life and work of “The Soundtracker” as he goes in search of new sound recordings on a month long journey across the United States.  Official Selection: Sedona, Hot Docs, Telluride Mountainfilm, DMZ Docs Korea, Calgary... “SON UP” - Feature Film

Son Up is a film about a teenager struggling to pull his life together after getting released from juvenile hall.  It began as a short film which I edited and was directed by my co-writer, Andrew Shearer.  After playing in dozens of festivals and winning numerous awards we developed it into a feature length film which won “Best Screenplay” at Cinequest in 2007.  Watch the trailer for the Award-winning short film.  The feature was recently optioned and is currently slated to begin production in 2011.
